Why on-model photos

Clothing shoppers want to see fit, length and how an item looks on a person. A mannequin or flat lay does not show that. A model shoot does, but every new SKU needs a model, a photographer, a studio and retouching.

In Solistra on-model photos are made from a photo of the item, so a new collection can be shown on a model the day the samples arrive.

Body type, pose and background

Body type sets the age, build and look of the model for your audience. Pose shows the item from the right side: full length, three quarter, back view or in motion. Backgrounds range from plain studio to story scenes such as a street, an interior or nature.

The Wildberries help center recommends natural relaxed poses and asks that accessories, hair and body parts never cover the product, with the whole item visible on the main photo.

Fabric color and texture

The usual complaint about AI on-model photos is that the item looks similar but not the same. In Solistra the source product photo is the anchor, so color, print, cut and texture carry over from it while the model, pose and surroundings change.

Sharp photos in daylight or studio light without colored glare work best. A before and after comparison helps confirm the shade matches the real item.

One model for the whole collection

A store looks consistent when the same model wears different items. Solistra Characters handle this: train a character on photos of one face and it appears in every shot of the collection.

The Wildberries help center asks that all photos of one SKU share one style and that the item has the same shade across photos. Series mode in Photo Studio applies one set of settings to all photos.

Consent and image rights

A virtual model is generated by AI and does not depict a real person. If you want to use the face of a real person, such as your own model or a blogger, Article 152.1 of the Russian Civil Code requires their consent to use their image.

In Solistra, characters with someone else’s face run only after you confirm that person’s consent. Moderation checks uploads and results before and after generation, and there is no 18+ mode.

What matters for moderation

The Wildberries help center lists unnatural AI images and photos where the model hides the product as mistakes. Choose realistic poses, check hands and fingers in the result and keep the item the main subject of the frame. Moderation decisions are made by the marketplace.
