Runway alternative for video in Russia

What Runway is

Runway is a company outside Russia that builds its own video models. Its headline model is Gen-4.5, and its research list includes Aleph 2.0, Act-Two and the GWM world models.

Runway Creative brings video, image and audio generation and editing into one workspace. Developers get an API, and agents connect over MCP or a ChatGPT plugin. Generations use credits, and a free plan includes a one time credit grant.

Why Runway is awkward from Russia

Runway plans are priced in dollars. Since 2022, international cards issued by Russian banks fail abroad, so a subscription needs a foreign card. The site and help center are in English.

Features · Runway vs Solistra

Based on Runway’s official pages and the Solistra catalog.

How Solistra is different

Runway builds around its own models, while Solistra brings together models from many developers. For one scene you can try Kling for precise camera work, Veo for sound and dialogue, Seedance for long multi shot scenes or Hailuo for expressive faces, then compare.

Beyond generation Solistra has camera presets, voiceover and lipsync, subtitles with SRT export, video upscaling to 4K and a clip maker for long videos. Every generation shows its credit price before you run it.

When to stay with Runway

If you rely on Runway’s own models, use its API in your products or its research tools such as world models, and pay with a foreign card, there is no need to switch.
